Halls of Residence - Summer accommodation

Who can book for summer?

Summer accommodation is only available to pre-booked groups, sport teams and conference delegates. Minimum numbers are required.

What is included?

Located five minutes walk from Queen Street, near major bus routes and the motorway, O'Rorke Hall offers accommodation in single rooms in pods of six rooms per pod, sharing a lockable shower, separate toilet and a dual basin. The pods are ideally suited to visiting school groups and sports teams, as they make for easy supervision by tour leaders. There are four pods on a floor sharing a floor lounge.

Breakfast is included in the rate; additional meals including packed lunches can be provided by arrangement at least two weeks in advance. The rooftop barbecue area, outdoor volleyball court, games room, Sky TV lounge and limited undercover parking are available for the convenience and enjoyment of guests. Internet access can be provided for a small daily charge.

Who can book for summer?

International House provides accommodation to New Zealand and international students who are staying in Auckland for study, work or holiday purposes for more than fourteen days during summer.

What is included?

Located in Whitaker Place just off Symond Street, International House is a short walk from the campus and bus routes. Accommodation is in single rooms or some twin share rooms with shared bathrooms.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates. Internet access through the university Resnet system is available for a small weekly rental charge.

Recreational facilities include Sky TV, the games room, table tennis, volleyball courts, a floodlit tennis court and the library are available to summer residents. Bring your own linen, or hire one of our linen packs.

Who can book for summer?

Grafton Hall provides accommodation to visitors and students for both short stays and for longer periods. The Hall is close to the Hospital and Grafton Campus, near the Newmarket and Grafton shopping precincts and handy to bus routes.

What is included?

There are different rates - you can choose between bed-and-breakfast only, or fully-catered accommodation with three meals daily. Accommodation is in either single or twin-share rooms with shared bathrooms. Bed linen and laundry facilities are included. Internet access is available for a small weekly charge.

Recreational facilities include Sky TV, games room, table tennis, tennis court and a library.

Huia Residence provides accommodation to visiting interns and academics, and to New Zealand and international students, who are staying in Auckland for study, work or holiday purposes for more than fourteen days during summer. 

What is included?

Huia Residence is close to the Grafton Campus and shopping precinct and a short walk away from the city campus. It offers self-catered facilities and internet access in the rooms. The recreational facilities include Sky TV and a barbecue area.
