Donna Kwon, a resident of O’Rorke Hall, is studying for a degree in biomedical science.

"Being a first-year student means everything around you is new and unfamiliar. Living at a student residence means there are plenty of people around me that help me get through everyday without any problems.

"O’Rorke is walking distance to uni and town which makes living in the busy Auckland central so much more bearable! Here at O’Rorke, everyone meets new people and making friends is easy—it’s different to being at school with cliques. There’s always a time for socializing but when you need alone time, there is always your room to go back to or when you need to study, there are places such as the library or the uni commons that can help you focus on your work.

"O’Rorke is not only a place where I eat and sleep; I consider O’Rorke as my home and my friends around me as family."
