About UniLodge


UniLodge is a high-rise and low-rise complex connected by a covered walkway located on both Anzac Ave and Beach Road, making it a short walk away from the University of Auckland General Library.

There are a number of  recreation facilities for you to enjoy on-site which include a lap pool, sun deck, BBQ area,  games room, theatre and gymnasium.

The Residential Management team are there to support you during your time in residence along with their team of Resident Advisors who live on site.

UniLodge offers fully-furnished self contained studio, deluxe studio, twin-share, one and two bedroom apartments.

You will need to provide your own towels and bedding linen, however you can purchase a linen pack upon arrival to the residence.

Each room has broadband internet access to the University's Residential Network (ResNet), you will need to provide your own Ethernet cable. You can also connect a telephone in your room but this will be done at your own expense.

You are responsible for cleaning your own room and apartment. Common areas such as the games room are cleaned regularly by UniLodge cleaning staff.




UniLodge is a self-catered residence, meaning you're responsible for your own meals.

The studio apartments in the Anzac Ave building offer a small kitchenette with microwave, kettle and small fridge, and you can use the large communal kitchen located on the ground floor to cook your meals.

In the deluxe studio, one, and two bedroom apartments, and the studio apartments in the Beach Road building, a small kitchen is provided with cooking hobs, kettle, microwave and small fridge.

A basic kitchen pack is provided in all apartments.

There are barbecue facilities available on site for communal use.



When you aren't busy studying, you can relax by the pool or on the sun deck, enjoy use of the games room, theatre and gymnasium or utilise the BBQ area.

The residential team organise a number of social and recreational events throughout the year which you are able to take part in.

Each resident is provided with membership to the University Recreation Centre; this is a 10 minute walk away.









Your fees cover a number of services including

  • Grounds, building and facilities maintenance and management.
  • Water use and reasonable electricity charges.
  • Broadband internet access.
