Located in the nearby suburb of Parnell and on grounds adjacent to the beautiful Auckland Domain and the Auckland Museum, Parnell Student Village has a life of its own.

About Parnell Student Village


Parnell Student Village is a 2-storey and 3-storey timber clad complex, consisting of 18 fully-furnished flats, each with their own bathroom. There are 4 four-bedroom, 11 five-bedroom, 2 six-bedroom and 1 eight bedroom flats available.

The residential management team are available to support you during your stay. They are based at nearby Carlaw Park Student Village. There is also a team of Resident Advisors who live on-site and two Resident Supervisors on call.

    $244 per week

Your flat is fully-furnished with a flat screen TV, basic kitchen pack and a vaccuum cleaner.

Your bedroom is furnished but you will need to provide your own bedding linen and towels. You have the option of purchasing a linen pack upon arrival to the residence.

Each room also has broadband internet access, at no additional cost, but you will need to provide your own Ethernet cable.



Parnell Student Village is a self-catered residence, meaning you're responsible for your own meals.

Each apartment has a full kitchen with a basic kitchen pack provided for residents to use.

There are barbecue facilities available on site for communal use.



The residential team organise a number of social and recreational events throughout the year which you are able to take part in. Sports equipment is also available on loan.

The Auckland Domain is right on your doorstep and the 75 hectares of landscape park features sports fields, a cricket pavilion, duck ponds, sculptures, two beautiful glass houses which form the Winter garden, and is also home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The Newmarket Olympic Pools are a 10 minute walk away.

Each resident is provided with membership to the University Recreation Centre; this is a 15 minute walk away, based on the City Campus.





Your fees cover a number of services including:

  • Grounds, building and facilities maintenance and management.
  • Water use and reasonable electricity charges.
  • Broadband internet access, residents must provide their own Ethernet cable.

Other services are available if you wish to use them. These are at your expense:

  • User-pays laundry room.
  • Limited off-street parking, available at $25 per week.
